Why Big Companies Want You to Take Survey and Offer Giveaways?
I have received few questions where our readers are asking why these companies do offer big prizes, giveaways and promotional products to consumers? I think this is a very good question. Now imagine this situation for these big companies like Coke, Pepsi, McDonald, Boss, Nike etc, that they invest heavily in a product development and then launch that product without capturing the real consumer’s feedback. What would happen to their product success? It could be a real success or it could be a flop. Or consumers may come back and provide them feedback on what needs to be improved to make it a better product. This whole process will take time in this situation as the product is already launched and others may copy this product and beat the original company with their better product. This is where you and I come in the picture.
Companies do understand the value of the real consumers’ feedback and they always look for the volunteers or interested people who want to test their products and samples and provide them their feedback through surveys. In order to get the attention of these product testers or volunteers, these big companies need to offer promotional products, giveaways and gift cards. The cost of the failure for these companies is so high that they can’t afford the products without consumer’s input. Once they received the feedback, they tweak their products as well as their marketing campaigns.

I agree that most of the big companies prefer testing their products through product testers before commercially launching it.
I want to caution all the prospective people who might be thinking of making money through survey or product reviews that this is a slow process. Initially you will learn the tricks and you would take a lot of time to complete surveys. You need to maintain the quality of your input so that you are putting in the garbage just to get the numbers. Once you do the quality job, you will be noticed and soon you will get the better surveys where you can make more money. There is no quick rich type solution here.
Believe you me we product testers are doing a favor to these big companies by doing testing for them. I have talked to some of the product tester support team members and they confirmed how much value they attach to good product testers.
:teeth: I think it benefits us the product testers tremendously. We can use the products for free and keep getting different variety all the time once we establish our credentials in this market. I agree with the above comments that this is a slow and patient process.
I am a veteran product tester and I like the comments as all of these comments are communicating the same theme that this is a slow process and don’t look for any quick money from this.
